Public Policy

Led by our Board of Directors’ Public Policy Committee, ASC engages the service commission network and the larger national service field on relevant public policy issues. We also provide training to our members on best practices for educating key stakeholders and building connections with elected officials.

States for Service

States for Service (S4S) is ASC’s privately funded, grassroots policy arm. The S4S coalition works to reinforce the critical role service commissions play in developing and advancing service in states and territories to meet community needs. S4S aims to influence policy, grant, and regulatory issues related to state and territorial service commissions and AmeriCorps programs.

State Service Caucus

The State Service Caucus is a bipartisan coalition of state legislators who support national service. The caucus offers state legislators a forum to collaborate across state lines to generate new ideas for advancing and supporting national service in their respective states.
