Resources & Initiatives
America's Service Commissions is pleased to offer a wide range of resources and initiatives to support the national service field.
AmeriCorps Member Assistance Program
The AmeriCorps Member Assistance Program (MAP) is designed to support AmeriCorps programs in providing accessible and quality mental health services to AmeriCorps members and employees of their organizations.
Career Pathways
ASC has developed resources to showcase the available career opportunities within the national service field and to help facilitate the hiring and retention of service commission and AmeriCorps program staff. This initiative includes our Service Job Board, where ASC members and others in the volunteerism field can post open employment opportunities.
National Direct Consultation
Our online National Direct Consultation initiative streamlines consultation between service commissions and multi-state applicants of AmeriCorps State and National funding. All 52 service commissions are participating in this initiative for FY24.
Publications & Toolkits
We publish a variety of reports on best practices, innovative program models, and more within the field of national service. In addition, our team develops toolkits for service commission and AmeriCorps program staff in a variety of content areas relevant to their work.
Subgrants
Thanks to the generous support of our foundation partners, we are able to award subgrants to service commissions and other nonprofit organizations. Our current focus areas include afterschool programming, AmeriCorps member assistance funds, and youth service.
Training and Technical Assistance Directory
The ASC Training and Technical Assistance (TTA) Directory is a resource for state and territorial service commissions, national service programs, and volunteer engagement initiatives to identify quality trainers, consultants, and service providers.
