Membership

ASC is a nonprofit membership association. We represent, support, and advocate for the 52 state and territorial service commissions. In addition, we provide training and technical assistance to more than 600 AmeriCorps programs and many individual friends of national service.

A few of the ways we support our members include:

  • Providing a unified, national voice for service on critical issues
  • Educating members of Congress and state legislators on the value of national service and volunteer programs
  • Coordinating peer-to-peer learning opportunities for the national service and volunteer field

Membership Categories

Individuals

An individual membership is designed for trainers, consultants, commissioners, commission and program staff, and AmeriCorps alums.

Priced at $250/year, an individual membership includes the following benefits.
  • Access to an online community for TTA providers highlighting developments and emerging practices in the national service field
  • Timely and important public policy updates
  • Ability to advertise individual training and consulting services in ASC’s TTA Directory
  • Representation at the federal level on national service issues
  • Complementary job postings on ASC’s Service Job Board

AmeriCorps Programs

While most of our program members are AmeriCorps State or National programs, all streams of service (including Seniors, VISTA, Native Nations, and VGF) are welcome to join.

Priced at $350/year, an AmeriCorps program membership includes the following benefits.

States for Service (S4S)

Are you passionate about national service and volunteerism and want to be involved in political advocacy? Then join ASC’s public policy coalition, States for Service (S4S)!

S4S memberships are available for service commissions, service programs, and individuals. All memberships include the following benefits.
  • Access to S4S online community and resources
  • Call-to-action days and campaigns
  • Policy toolkits and technical assistance to effectively engage elected officials
  • Monthly coalition webinars with key policy updates, guest speakers, and policy experts
  • Advocacy and representation of state service interests to Congress, National Governors Association (NGA), National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL), and federal agency officials
