Gordon said, "From my own service year experience, I understand and appreciate the value of service. Serving as a commissioner is an opportunity to contribute toward promoting and leveraging volunteerism and service year programs to improve the quality of life for all South Carolinians. Citizenship is more than paying taxes and voting. It's about looking after your neighbor and finding ways to better your community. Our country benefits when there are ample opportunities for people to serve."

Thank you for your service, Gordon!
