Commissioner Highlight: Shayna Canty, PA

It's time for a commissioner highlight! Today, we're recognizing Shana Canty, who is serving her first term as a youth commissioner with PennSERVE.

Shayna said, "I have a service background. I'm a former Girl Scout (bronze and silver recipient) and a former AmeriCorps VISTA. I currently work at a nonprofit as a communications coordinator, which I love! I also wanted to see how far I could continue contributing to national service post-VISTA. Pennsylvania didn't have a Youth Commissioner, and I felt with my background and spirit to serve, I'd be the perfect candidate for the position. Now here I am! I'm so honored to serve as the face of youth-led and youth-centered organizations across my beautiful state of Pennsylvania — home of the cheesesteak, pro-wrestling, and national service!"
