Stand with AmeriCorps Action Items

In April, AmeriCorps NCCC members were demobilized, 85% of federal AmeriCorps agency staff were placed on leave, and nearly $400 million in AmeriCorps grants were terminated. In June, a preliminary injunction in Maryland et al v CNCS instructed AmeriCorps to restore funding and members in 24 states and DC, but there are still 29 impacted states and territories without remedy. If you are looking to show your support for AmeriCorps during these challenging times, please consider taking one or more of the following actions.

Federal Policy

  • Email your Members of Congress using the tool from Voices for National Service.
  • Join States for Service, ASC’s privately funded policy coalition working to advocate for federal and state policies that improve access to national service and volunteer engagement resources.

National AmeriCorps Member Emergency Fund

Communications and Media

  • If you are an AmeriCorps alum, share your service story with Service Year Alliance.
  • Write an op-ed, submit a letter to the editor, or post on social media. Our communications toolkit provides resources for all of these and more.
